What Carrimi is. We connect passengers with drivers who are already going that way. We are not a transport company, we do not employ drivers, and we do not set or collect the fare. The ride is an agreement between the passenger and the driver.
You must be 18 or over and give accurate information. Your account is yours alone — do not let anyone else use it. We may suspend an account that is being used to harass, defraud or endanger other people.
A driver proposes a price; a passenger accepts or declines. Carrimi shows a suggested range based on what rides on that route usually cost, but the price is theirs to agree. Payment for the ride happens directly between passenger and driver.
Carrimi never holds, transmits or refunds ride money. If a fare dispute arises, it is between the two of you; we can show both parties the trip record.
Carrimi charges a small fee for the connection: a connection fee when a driver accepts a passenger, and a booking fee from the passenger per ride. These are paid from a prepaid credit balance.
If you drive on Carrimi you confirm that you hold a valid driver's licence, that the vehicle is roadworthy and insured for carrying passengers, and that you comply with Nigerian road traffic law. You must complete identity verification before you can accept anyone. You are an independent operator, not an employee or agent of Carrimi.
No harassment, no discrimination, no weapons, no illegal goods, no driving under the influence. Report anything unsafe through the app's safety tools. We may remove an account for conduct that puts other people at risk, without notice.
Carrimi depends on mobile networks, GPS and third-party map and payment services. We work to keep it running but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for a ride you did not get because the network was down.
Carrimi provides an introduction. We are not responsible for the conduct of any passenger or driver, for the condition of any vehicle, or for anything that happens during a ride. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous three months.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, where Nigerian law does not permit it.
You can delete your account at any time — see Delete your account. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the law.
We will post changes here and, for anything material, tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Carrimi after that means you accept the change.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
